We love back to school time! Back to school events signal the start of soccer season and we get to see many familiar faces at events across the City. Throughout August our team visited elementary schools, hosted programming in the community, and coordinate with school administrators to set up fall after school soccer programming. Here we go!

Alexandria Youth Leadership Networking Event

In early August our team had the opportunity to meet Alexandria City High School students and share leadership opportunities at this networking event. Great organizations from around the city shared about how to get involved in their community with enthusiastic these high school students.

Pickup Soccer with the ACPS School Board

School Board members Ashley Simpson and Abdel Elnoubi hosted their second annual “Back to School Soccer” event in partnership with ASA. The event was a great opportunity for students and families to meet school board members and to check out the beautiful new Douglas MacArthur campus and small turf soccer field!

Fight for the Children Youth Sports Day at RFK Field

ASA joined Fight For Children for their second annual Youth Sports Day at the Fields at RFK. It was an amazing free community event that included sports activities, games and prizes, free vision exams, physicals, and wellness checks. ASA is proud to be a member of the Fight For Children cohort it was a great opportunity to meet the community and interact with other fantastic sports organizations from around the DMV.

Back to School Events

ASA stopped by elementary schools across the City to welcome students before the first day of class partnering. We love high-fiving our young friends and meeting new kids.
